Amaal Mallik Lashes Out At Amit Trivedi For Lifting Shaandaar Song
Amaal Mallik has trashed fellow Bollywood composer Amit Trivedi's claim that he did not copy Nazdeekiyan (Shaandaar) from British rock band Coldplay's song Ocean.

Now, Amaal might have reacted two months late, but it is quite a reaction. He took to Facebook on Tuesday and said:

The post received a lot of responses and Amaal was seen reiterating his stance:

Ever since the song Nazdeekiyan released in September, Amit had been facing allegations of copying it from the rock band.

However, in a media interview in October, he firmly denied it and said, "I swear on my music, I didn't copy it (Nazdeekiyan) at all. I will quit music if I would ever do plagiarism. There are seven music notes, which are used in the entire world. It's purely a coincidence that my song is similar to this one. I don't even know about this song. I will surely listen to Coldplay's Oceans after this."

Going by his sudden outburst, it looks like Amaal read the interview only recently.

Coming back to the issue, SpotboyE got in touch with both the parties. While Amit remained unavailable for comment, Amaal said, "I don't want to talk about this at all."
